(March 3, 2011, Puerto Rico) – Committed to the protection of minors and in order to
strengthen its cause, the Ricky Martin Foundation will celebrate on Friday, June 3, its
Third Annual Golf Tournament at the Trump International Golf Resort, in Puerto Rico,
presented this year by Fiat.
The Foundation plans to open a Child Development and Prevention Center in Loiza
on August 2012 that will serve children as a safe haven from exploitation, where
the Center’s students will receive personalized education, recreational services and
community health workshops. The Holistic Center conceptualization and development
stemmed from the First Study on Human Trafficking in Puerto Rico, a partnership
between the Foundation, the University of Puerto Rico and Johns Hopkins University,
which revealed that children and youth in our island are victims of exploitation as a result
of human trafficking and modern day slavery.
"As a public charity foundation, we rely on the generosity of corporations and individuals
to achieve our goals. Our Board and the Golf Tournament Committee are very grateful to

summer are sympathetic to our cause. We hope that new corporations join us this year,"
said Bibiana Ferraiuoli, Executive Director of the Ricky Martin Foundation.
Fernando Fernandez, President of the Golf Tournament Committee, added that the third
annual Ricky Martin Foundation Golf Tournament hast great surprises for players and
promises to deliver another fun afternoon. "In this, the third edition, we will exceed the
expectations of all the players that have previously participated and whom we consider
friends. We also invite new golfers to join us and experience a great day of GOLF and
camaraderie to benefit our children. "
Both the members of the Board of Directors of the Foundation and the Golf Committee
also acknowledge the support of: Fiat, Telemundo, Trump International Golf Club, Il
